Some events of interest

I thought that I would post a few events that have happened lately.

A few weeks ago we purchased a new patio set. Our family loves to eat outside. The first weekend it was warm enough outside we decided to set it up the furniture. Of course the furniture came in some very large boxes. We thoroughly enjoyed eating outside for the first time this summer. After we finished eating, Tania and Sasha discovered that they could play with the boxes. While I was taking care of the dishes, Sasha came inside and informed me "I have a house". David cut out windows in the boxes. Sometimes the kids put the boxes next to each other like a double wide trailer and sometimes they stacked them together to make a second level.

The other day I was cleaning out my flower pots. I didn't get a chance to clean them out before we went to Ukraine last November. I started emptying the pots and Tania came out to help me. Soon she had Sasha out helping also. Tania ended up sweeping the patio while Sasha and I empied the pots and then we filled the pots with new dirt. Now if this had been my domestic children, they would have lasted about 10 minutes. It was so nice to have help.

It has been nice having help cleaning the house also. The imported children are generally much better about cleaning. Since Tania and Sasha don't complain (Tania actually looks for more cleaning) Katelyn and Matthew are much more willing to help.
